2024

To round off 2024, the Cibyl team are running a series of webinars on eight early careers topics.

These are the eight topics employers have asked the Cibyl team about most frequently over the course of the year, and they touch the entire early careers recruitment process end-to-end: setting and achieving EDI targets, relocation, data-driven targeting strategies, the assessment process, reducing drop-offs and reneges, and more.

To go alongside this webinar series, we are publishing a set of mini-reports that summarise the key insights on each topic. For more insight, join the Cibyl team for one – or many – of our webinars.

Honing your assessment process

  • Do you know which assessment methods are the biggest drop-out risks – and how assessment methods can contribute to EDI problems, and how candidates are using AI in assessment?
  • At Cibyl we track: candidates’ preferred assessment methods, drop-out triggers, and the use of AI in recruitment.

Hitting your EDI targets

  • Are your EDI targets data-driven and achievable, and are your attraction campaigns designed to land with the candidates you want to recruit?
  • The Cibyl team record a wide array of EDI factors so that we can provide employers with advice on how to identify, attract, and recruit candidates from various EDI groups.

Addressing drop-offs and reneges

  • Do you know why candidates drop-off and renege, how to identify the motivating factors for reneges, and how to put in place strategies to mitigate drop-offs and reneges?
  • Using Cibyl research, we hear from students themselves why they leave a recruitment process and provide employers with advice on how they can mitigate the risk.

Building a data-driven university strategy

  • Is your university targeting strategy data-driven?
  • Cibyl use a combination of Cibyl market research and HESA data to identify target students and target universities, and provide employers with a data-backed university targeting strategy.

Building a data-driven schools targeting strategy

  • Is your schools outreach strategy data-driven?
  • Cibyl use a combination of Cibyl market research and DfE data to identify groups of schools you can reach out to, so that you can save time and resource when planning your school engagement activity.

Relocation, relocation, relocation

  • Are you struggling to move candidates to some locations?
  • The Cibyl team study why students would – and wouldn’t – move to specific office locations, to help employers forecast hiring difficulties and create relocation strategies that work for them and for candidates.

Recruiting female engineers

  • Are you struggling to recruit female engineers?
  • Cibyl data is excellent at locating hard-to-recruit groups of students and identifying their employment expectations and career-related motivations, which the team use to advise employers on their early careers strategy.

Recruiting top talent in law

  • Do you want to identify, engage, and recruit top talent in the legal sector?
  • The team use Cibyl data to identify top legal talent, identify who they’re currently applying to, and advise firms on how to reach out, engage, and recruit high-performing legal candidates.
